Cashier
Cashiers are found in many job industries; however, they are more prominent in the retail business. Cashiers are responsible for aiding customers in the purchasing process from welcoming customers and assisting them in making payments and checking out of the store. Their main duty is to provide an exceptional customer experience in the buying process. Cashiers are the face of a store. They can add or subtract points to the overall brand image of the company depending on their performance. Slow and rude cashiers can result in a business losing customers and ultimately losing profit.
Furthermore, cashiers help solve client queries and also answer client questions in a helpful and polite manner. They help clients locate products and give product information to the customer. Therefore, cashiers must have extensive knowledge of the company’s products and policies to better serve the customer. They must look presentable and approachable to customers.

Qualifications and requirements
Cashier positions have no steep requirements. Usually, a high school diploma or matric certificate is required to become a cashier. Cashiers must have strong communication and interpersonal skills for they will be dealing with customers directly all the time. A good amount of energy and optimism is required for this job like any other customer-facing profession.
