Mintek

The Council for Mineral Technology, known as Mintek, was established in 1934 by an Act of the South African Parliament as a national mineral research organisation to support the South African minerals industry. It operates under the executive authority of the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy. Mintek is recognised as one of the world’s leading technology organisations specialising in mineral processing, extractive metallurgy, and related fields.
